How to write an application for leave?
1. Application for leave from study
of aterm should be made prior to the
beginning of that term. The leave period
shouldcommence at the beginning of a term
unless underexceptional circumstances
such as poor health.
2. Request for leave from study for
two consecutive terms requires approval
of the relevant Dean. Leave from study for morethan two consecutive terms will normally not be considered.
3. Application for leave in the
current term submitted falls short of two weeks prior to the
commencement of the examinationperiod will normally not be
accepted.
4. Approved leave from study will
not count towards the time limit on program completion.
5. Tuition fee paid for the term for
which leave fromstudy is approved is not refundable
or transferable.
6. Upon resumption of study after
the approved leave period, a student must be
officially registered in the program in the
termwhen he/she is considered for graduation from that program.
Application Procedures
1. Undergraduate students who wish to take leave from study should
complete Sections I & II below, and submit the form with appropriate supporting documents to
the program department for approval.
2.Students will be notified of the
result of the application by ARRO.
